RCRDSHOP PUB QUIZ
A Creative Pub Quiz with a Musical Twist
Get ready for a quiz night that’s anything but ordinary! At the Roxy, trivia collides with creativity and music takes centre stage. Expect brain-teasing questions, playful challenges, and live musical rounds that put your ears (and maybe your vocal cords) to the test. Perfect for teams of friends, workmates, or anyone up for a lively night out—grab a drink, get competitive, and let’s see who can hit all the right notes.
Each round of this pub quiz has been designed to test your general knowledge, team work, creativity and music knowledge. A team member gifted in the art of witty banter would also come in handy!
Here’s a breakdown of the rounds involved:
Rounds
1 - Who tweets like that??
- In this round a tweet is displayed or read out and the audience is given four options of who could have tweeted it
2 - Do you even Lyric BRO?
- In this round there are several different styles of question, each designed to test your knowledge of popular song lyrics
3 - Rap Charades
- In this game the audience is played a created piece of music in which a rapper raps the clues to an answer that the audience has to guess, i.e a film, an actor, a tv show
- A point is scored for correctly getting the answer
- A half point is scored for each clue correctly identified
4 - General Knowledge
Knowledge that is general with a musical twist
5 - Top trumps (grime edition)
- At the start of the quiz each team will be given a deck of cards featuring the UK's rap/grime royalty, complete with their mega stats like “monthly streams on Spotify.” Each table picks a card at random. Choose one brave soul to belt out 15 seconds of a jam from your chosen artist OR challenge our host to a high-stakes card draw. Lose? Down a shot and kiss a point goodbye from your team score!
6 - It’s giving/caption this
- In this round a social media video is displayed to the room and each team has 2 minutes to come up with a sentence that accurately (or non accurately) works as a caption
- Entries are read at the end of each round and loudest audience reaction wins
